LEESBURG, VA – November 13, 2022 – FCi Federal Founder and CEO Sharon D. Virts has been named the winner of two gold Stevie® Awards in the Woman of the Year - Business Services and Female Entrepreneur of the Year – Business Services –11 to 2,500 Employees categories in the 10th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Additionally, FCi Federal was named the winner of a silver Stevie® Award in the Company of the Year – Business Services – More Than 10 Employees category.
The Stevie Awards in Business are the world’s top honors for entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The 2013 awards for Women in Business received entries from 18 nations and territories. Nicknamed the Stevies, the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a sold-out event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on November 9, 2013.
Ms. Virts was recognized as a hero of the American economy as her company, FCi Federal, was ranked 19th out of 100 of the top job creators in the country and the number one job creator among federal contractors by Inc. Magazine earlier this year. Ms. Virts was also named Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for Greater Washington, D.C. in the category of Government Services for providing excellent services to Federal agencies across the nation. FCi Federal has shown exceptional growth and quality and is positioned as a leader in the contracting community.
