FCi Federal President & CEO does radio interview on company’s success

President & CEO Sharon D. Virts shared FCi Federal’s success story on the Federal Drive show on Federal News Radio (1500 AM) this morning.

“Our story is as much about transformation as it is about growth,” Virts said about FCi Federal going from a consulting business to a government services provider.

When asked if she played with Barbie’s or briefcases when she was young, Virts alluded to a saying her father has about once leaves turn yellow, they never turn green again.

“I realized that our business was turning yellow, and that we needed to cut those yellow leaves off so that we could flourish in new ways,” Virts said.

In August, FCi Federal was named the 215th fastest-growing company in the country by Inc. Magazine and last week was featured in an MSN.com article promoting company job openings nationwide. It was also named the fourth fastest-growing company in the Washington, D.C. area by the Washington Business Journal.
