Lee’s Summit, MO and Overland Park, KS – March 29, 2023 – FCi Federal today announced it will hold a large scale Job Fair to hire more than 350 employees to support the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) at the National Benefits Center (NBC) in Lee’s Summit, Missouri (MO) and Overland Park, Kansas (KS). The Job Fair will be held at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center in Independence, MO on Tuesday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“Expanding our workforce at the National Benefits Center will help us deliver essential support services to our federal government customer for critical national security missions,” said FCi Federal Executive Vice President and General Manager William M. Thomas.

FCi began work at the NBC on February 1, 2023 after winning a $416-million, five year prime contract, and currently employs more than 1,100 full time employees to support the program. The program’s primary mission is preparing applications for adjudication that require an interview, conducting background and security checks and reviewing the evidence that applicants submit to support their eligibility for benefits, and providing services related to correspondence management, data collection and file operations.

Job Fair attendees will apply for positions, be interviewed by FCi personnel and potentially leave with a job offer, pending customary background and reference checks. In addition to the hiring activities, Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer and current County Executive of Jackson County, MO, Frank White will be signing autographs from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
